According to the climate classification by Köeppen, the area that constitutes the Park is included in the “zone of warm cold rainy climate without dry season.” However the climate conditions are highly diverse due to the irregular and complicated forms of the park. Consequently, it is very difficult to determine a climate characterization of the area and even more, the relationships between local types of climates.
Through the information given by the meteorological station Walter Ferrier, located in the Park Administrative Headquarter, is possible to set some characteristics related to rain, temperature and wind–speed. |

The region has a mild summer with a maximum temperature of 16° Celcius in January. Being January the warmest month and a winter time relatively harsh, with a mean minimum temperature of -2,5° Celcius in July, the coldest month. However, a thermal homogeneity can be observed, with some variations that do not go over 12° Celcius, with minimum temperatures of -2,5°Celcius to a maximum of 8° Celcius in winter months, and minimums of 3° Celcius to maximums of 15° Celcius in summer.
