To get this beautiful lake, a vehicle is needed to drive 18 km from the Park Administrative Office until the Park, afterwards a walk is started to cross the Pingo River over a bridge and continues till the lake banks that offer a surface covered by icebergs; outstanding ice sculptures carved by nature. The ice gets different shapes depending on the sunlight, compacted snow, number of bubbles or sediments that it contains. This lake is born in the Grey glacier that can be seen from the lake edges and comes from the Campo de Hielo Patagonico Sur (South Patagonia Icefield). Within the recreational activities that are offered, visitors can take a walk along the lakeside area, which allow them to reach the ice and get to the front of the glacier. They can also sail down the Grey River, observing the Cañadón del Eco. (The Ecchoe Canyon). | ||||

It is located in Pehoe sector, 2 kms from the main road. Visitors get to a car park and then walk for 5 minutes to the lookout. If they want to get to the banks of the Nordenskjöld Lake, they must continue through a signed path, after one hour of walking, visitors will enjoy the most panoramic views of the Paine range of mountains in Los Cuernos Lookout. |

| Sierra del Toro Lookout :: (on the way to Laguna Verde) | [ up ] |

The path starts 500 mts. from Weber Bridge, near the Administration area. After one hour an a half visitors get to Sierra del Toro lookout, where they will have the privilege of having not only a unique view of the biggest lake of the Region, the Toro lake, but also the Paine river and the golden pampas of Serrano river basin. |

| Wildlife Lookout in the Park Administrative Office :: | [ up ] |

This is a beautiful wooden roof structure which is built in Toro Lake. It offers a great opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake while watching birds and their amusing movements. The beautiful views of the Macizo Andino (Andino Massif) and its hills Ferrier and Donoso can be seen from this point. You must visit the information office to see a complete and interesting scientific display of geography, geology, wildlife and local vegetation which is protected by the national park. |

| R ío Paine Waterfall :: | [ up ] |

This uneven piece of land is found in the Paine River, in the sector called Laguna Amarga (by the road on the way to Laguna Azul). Visitors can observe Torres del Paine, the three most beautiful needle-shape granite rock formation. Climbers from all over the world arrive to the park to get to the top of them; climbing their vertical walls with different difficulty levels. Their names are D’Agostini (south), central and Monzino (north). |

| Trekking between Sarmiento Entrance and Laguna Amarga :: | [ up ] |

This excursion takes two hours approximately and connects the two main entrances to the park. It allows visitors to enjoy a landscape with plants in semi-spheres such as mata barrosa and the neneo. (native shrubs) This is the habitat of the guanaco, grey foxes, skunks and the enigmatic puma. Visitors can also watch panoramic views of the Paine Mountain Range. They will feel invaded by a magical energy which makes them feel and imagine the natives Aonikenk on these lands. |

| Laguna Azul (Blue Lagoon) :: | [ up ] |

The trip until this place becomes of big interest because of its beauty and the great variety of different landscapes during the journey. The mountainous relief and the vegetation combine each other to produce the ideal landscape that includes Laguna Azul with its peaceful waters of a deep blue. It extends until it gets to the little island Florence Dixie. At the back, the silhouette of Torres del Paine which is added to this idyllic panoramic view. Another particular characteristic of this valley is its micro-climate, reaching temperatures that go over 25°C in summer. |

| The Path of Nature Condor Lookout :: | [ up ] |

It is located in Pehoe camping-site. It is a path that allows visitors to see the local vegetation and micro wildlife that live in the slope of Sierra del Toro. To get to the lookout is an invigorating experience which is rewarded with the unique views that include Pehoe Lake, Nordenskjöld Lake, the Peaks of the Paine, the French Valley and the Patagonian Andes. |

| The Path of Nature Wildlife Miscellaneous :: | [ up ] |

This is a small trip in the Administrative Headquarter which goes along a lagoon rich in nutrients and a perfect habitat for the taguas, (native birds) which even nest here. The forest consists of ñirres (native beech) which surround the lagoon becoming a shelter for many different birds and mammals. |
