At first, all the National Parks and Natural Monuments, National Reserves and Forest Reserves are available to do the research activities.  However, Conaf reserves the right to establish regulations, conditions and limits either in the geographical aspect, number of people participating and the working method, or the season of the year and the time researchers will be in the park.

The complex level of the research activities that are made in the System is very different, that’s why some different procedures are demanded through an authorization.

It is essential to make the following errand in CONAF local office to make research activities.

The errand to ask for authorizations and make research activities in the Wildlife Protected Areas of Magallanes Region and Chilean Antarctica must be carried out within 20 days so as to analyze the activities carefully; a draft must be added to the application.  Once obtained the resolution, it must be shown in the Park Administration Office.
